India’s iconic Taj Mahal in Agra and everyone other monument is set to reopen on June 16, after being closed for quite two months Due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
All centrally protected monuments (CPM) under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) closed their doors before the nationwide lockdown and deadly second wave of Covid-19 hit the country.
The latest statement issued by ASI stated:
“All CPMs, sites, and museums under ASI to be opened from June 16, 2021.”
“This opening, however, shall be in strict compliance with the chief orders, if any, issued by State/District Disaster Management Authority. Appropriate guidelines and SOPs issued by Union and State/UT Ministries/Department during this regard shall be scrupulously followed while regulating the flow of tourists.”
